Transience

I adore birds, their strength and fragility combined. They are the perfect example of how to be in the world, managing to hold both these opposing traits together.

This art work has been inselected for 2 exhibitions: Kilkenny Fringe Arts week and was also successful in getting into the Green week Art exhibition run by Trinity College Sustainability group. It was installed front and centre as you walk through the arch gate and I was delighted that so many people got to pass by and enjoy my bird.

It was created using clematis vines, Rowan tree branches and wire. I have a great interest in re-purposing materials and trying to see how their characteristics can be manipulated to create something new, something unexpected.
